He could not find the exact key because it was a suitcase key and didn’t have much info but he definitely made me a key that worked for the most part and because I wasn’t completely satisfied he didn’t charge me! If I had cash with me I would have given it to him. I am from out of town but If I lived locally he would be my go to guy. Michael DePietro “A GOD SEND!! One of my employees locked her 1 year old in the car. Strapped in her car seat smiles from ear to ear as everyone looked at her through the window. It was a cloudy day but hot. I knew we didn’t have much time. I called the Lock & key center and Derek answered. I told him the story and he said he was about 15 minutes away. As I contemplated calling the police Derek came flying into the driveway. How he got there so fast was beyond me. With a quick handshake he went to work. The baby at this time was starting to fuss. Derek never panicked he just kept working. After a few attempts with a rod he grabbed his cell. I heard him say “I don’t care what it costs I have a baby locked in a car and I need the key code NOW”!! with in minutes he was cutting a new key. Everyone was stating to panic as the baby appeared very upset but Derek never missed a beat. He jumped out of the van, stuck the key it the door and opened it. I sent my employee inside and told Derek I would take care of the bill. Bill me what you need to I said. You are a blessing to all of us today and what every the charge, you are worth every penny. He looked at me and said “No Charge”. What!! He knew I could afford it. Why I asked. This was personal for me, my way of giving back. I stuck my credit card in his hand and he gave it right back.
